Torres del Paine Fire Brigade: Training on Gas Emergencies

The Gasco Magallanes company trained the Torres del Paine Fire Brigade on ways to prevent and respond to emergencies involving liquefied gas.

On January 4, the Torres del Paine Fire Brigade participated in a training on Liquefied Gas Emergencies, given by the company Gasco Magallanes.

It was developed at the Las Lengas Power Generation Plant and the objective was to train the fire brigade on the main aspects related to the safety of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), familiarize them with the reception, storage, vaporization and LPG distribution; and help them identify the different emergency scenarios.

This training allows us to be prepared for emergencies, because most hotels near Torres del Paine National Park have this type of supply”. It should be noted that, although the chances of gas accidents occurring are low, the Torres del Paine Fire Brigade continues to train supporting to all types of possible incidents.
