This is where your adventure starts. The Welcome Center is the gateway to the main trails of Torres del Paine National Park, and is where you’ll find all the information you need to be a responsible tourist. Here you can purchase supplies for your trip, or simply dispose of your portable gas canister. Built in 2016 to serve as the first stop for all visitors coming to the reserve, the Las Torres Welcome Center is managed by our NGO AMA Torres del Paine. All hikers and vehicles stop here before entering the reserve to receive a warm welcome and assistance regarding the logistics of their stay. Here you can make reservations, hire services, and get answers to all your questions. There are restrooms, a cafeteria, and a small outdoor and souvenir store. For hikers staying in shelters or campgrounds, or for those waiting for a shuttle to leave, this is a great place to grab a snack or enjoy a beer. Hotel guests coming in their own vehicle simply need to show their reservation before continuing on to the hotel, approximately 1 km (0.6 miles) away.
