Chile makes its sanitary measures even more flexible

With great enthusiasm, we have received the news from the Ministry of Health, that as of October 1, the health restrictions for national and foreign tourists will increase flexibility with the removal of the mobility pass and the mandatory use of masks.

In this new opening scenario, framed in the Plan Seguimos Cuidándonos (‘We Keep Taking Care of Ourselves’ Plan) and the Plan Fronteras Protegidas (‘Protected Borders’ Plan), the good management that Chile has given to the Covid-19 Pandemic is emphasized, by having coverage in its primary vaccination scheme that exceeded 94%.

The health authorities made the following changes in this new stage:

  • The Mobility Pass requirement is withdrawn.
  • The use of masks is no longer mandatory (except in health facilities).
  • Capacity limitations in open and closed spaces are eliminated.

Self-care recommendations:

  • Use your mask in public and private transport, in crowds and if you show any respiratory symptoms due to Covid-19 infection.
  • Wash your hands frequently.
  • Don’t forget that #WeKeepTakingCareOfOurselves against #COVID-19.

Requirements to enter Chile

A vaccination certificate requirement issued in the country of origin.

  • If the travelers do not have the vaccination certificate from their country, they must present a negative PCR result taken within a maximum of 48 hours from departure.
  • Those under 18 years of age do not have any requirements to enter Chile.

In Las Torres Reserve we had a season without inconveniences due to Covid-19 infections, the cases presented were adequately resolved according to standardized procedures, complying with the protocols given by the Ministry of Health.

It’s time to plan your next adventure in Torres del Paine with Las Torres Patagonia. Travel at ease and secure your vacation from now on.
