Selected out of 66 entries and chosen from 15 finalists, Las Torres Patagonia was recognized this April 4th as the best project of nature conservation at the São Paulo tourism fair. The awards were determined by a jury of professionals after evaluating the different initiatives implemented in recent years in the Torres del Paine National Park.

“At Las Torres Patagonia we are grateful for this recognition. On this long path we have learnt that true sustainability requires much the same virtues entrepreneurship and most any worthy cause: commitment, resilience, creativity, teamwork, and diligence. As a team we have taken solid steps on a journey that is far from over and I urge that as an industry we push forward and lead in caring for this world. said Josian Yaksic K., CEO-General Manager of Las Torres Patagonia.

Winning this important Gold involved developing a set of actions in the different areas of Patagonia Towers, from an innovative sustainable cocktail project awarded by the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), to avant-garde achievements such as EOV certification in holistic management of its meadows, our initiatives were considered.

In addition to these are reforestation initiatives in Reserva Las Torres, the operation of a regenerative organic garden, and the project “Conservation and Restoration of the Path to Base Torres”, an award winner in the Latam Impact Awards 2022 and currently in a second development phase. Conservation actions at the Patagonia Towers never stop!

With initiatives such as these, Las Torres Patagonia consolidates itself as an example of sustainable and responsible tourism in the region and confirms its commitment to conservation in one of the most beautiful and exceptional regions in the world. From Las Torres Patagonia we want this Gold to shine brightly and illuminate the path of sustainability, the only possible path for the tourism industry.
