Regenerative Kitchen Garden - Sustainability

Regenerative Kitchen Garden

Get some nature therapy by browsing around a regenerative kitchen garden more than half a hectare in size.

Our commitment to a sustainable Patagonia and healthy, happy tourists

Half a hectare in size, our garden is one of the region’s largest and world’s southernmost regenerative kitchen gardens. It has developed immensely since its origin in the early 1950s and now produces a majority of the seasonal fruits and vegetables that are used in our restaurant and bar.

We have nine types of fruits, more than twenty-five types of vegetables, and an ever-growing number of culinary and medicinal herbs. We use bio-intensive, sustainable methods and aim to strike a balance between conserving heirloom varieties and meeting production goals.

Our garden is part of our long-term strategy to leave the smallest possible footprint within the National Park and just one example of Las Torres Reserve’s commitment to sustainable tourism.

We greatly enjoyed our time here. The excursions showed us things we’d been dreaming of for years. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only regret is that our stay was too short to take every excursion we wanted! We took the all inclusive option and I would definitely recommend that route.

An amazing place with staff who were so friendly and helpful both in organising our excursions and room service. We especially appreciated our many guides, Josie, Alex, Deanne, Martius, Diago and Kristen for their understanding and knowledge of the area. I was very fortunate to see a puma during one of our excursions.
Where the hotel is situated, leaves me breathless, each time I walk around.
So finally, my husband and I would like to thank you for everything.
