The baqueanos, Patagonian cowboys, are the heart of our service. Brave and fierce lovers of nature, they and their horses are dedicated to the care and exploration of Patagonia. If anyone truly knows Torres del Paine National Park, it’s our baqueanos.

Holistic Pasture Approach

Maintaining a balance between nature and a herd of almost 200 horses may seem like a difficult task, but thanks to a meticulously organized approach, our horses graze in Patagonia in alternating dedicated areas. This keeps erosion at bay, and allows grass to grow in return.

Equine Dental Health

The reserve horses are domesticated and live harmoniously here at the ranch. An important part of ranch life, we take good care of all aspects related to their health. Due to their unique dietary needs, our horses’ dental wear differs as well and our herd requires constant attention to ensure their teeth grow and wear naturally without harming their mouths.

Equine Hoof Care

Just as humans require different footwear to perform tasks, horses also need special care for their hooves. As they are domesticated horses, their hooves wear out less quickly than they might. Our farrier in the stables makes sure that their hooves are clean so that they do not develop fungus, and that they are wearing the right horseshoes for their daily tasks.
